Shocking News: What's happening at Center for Healthcare?


Meet the newest addition to the Center staff: Scott McCollum. Scott is currently attending Cal Baptist University, and will graduate this spring with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts with an emphasis in videography. Back in December 2010 Scott began working on some projects for the Center, and will become full time staff this May as Center's multimedia expert. His work ranges from designing flyers, working with the Center's sponsors, to filming and editing videos. Check out some of his latest work.

EMS EXPO - LAS VEGAS

Cindy Tait has been invited to speak at EMS Expo this coming August 29 – September 2 in Las Vegas. She will be presenting sessions on the topics of the new guidelines for ACLS and PALS, as well as Top Tips for EMS Educators. http://emsworldexpo.com/ Cindy serves on the advisory board for EMS World Magazine, frequently speaks at EMS conferences and develops webcasts for Cygnus Media.

Congratulations Bellas

The Center's favorite dog, Bella Rapha, recently completed her renewal testing to maintain her status as a Licensed North American Therapy Dog through the Delta Society and Paws for Healing. Bella went through rigorous testing at Fairview Hospital, which included obedience, tolerance to pain, large noisy crowds and other animals. She passed with 100% grade at the most complex level. Congratulations Bella!

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL!

Partnership National Safety Council

Center is pleased to announce it's recent partnership with National Safety Council. NSC is an international organization based out of Illinois with a mission to "Save lives by preventing injuries If you and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy." We believe that Center's mission statement of "Programs for Personal and Professional Growth!" aligns particularly well with NSC through education. By attending a brief workshop, any Center for Healthcare Education's instructors will be able to teach NSC CPR, AED, First Aid and First Responder courses Donna Siegfried, Senior Director of First Aid for NSC, recently visited Center and was pleased to see our capabilities, including; >100 CPR manikins, 900+ instructors, lockers full of First Aid training equipment, dozens of AED trainers and a fully functioning multi-media studio. We can't wait to get started providing these valuable courses!
