Instructor: Cindy Tait, MICP, RN, MPH, CEN, PHN,
CFRN. Cindy has been a flight nurse for 18 years working in both fixed
and rotor winged transport. She has experience with international
flights, scene calls, interfacility transport, specialty team transfers
and medical escorts. She is a nationally known speaker and author on
the topic and has precepted numerous flight nurse, paramedics and
respiratory care providers. She is also licensed by the FAA as a pilot
and flys the Center for Healthcare Education's aircraft.
This course is designed to provide participants with information on the art and science of transporting critical patients via helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. Emphasis is placed on the autonomy and responsibility of caring for patients under advanced protocols during short and long distance transport, including:
